Indian Railways has invited applications for recruitment at the post
of 'assistant station master'. The interested and eligible candidates
can apply by February 5.
A total of 45 posts are notified. Out of
the total posts, 12 posts are to be filled by candidates belonging to
general/unreserved category. The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste
and Scheduled Tribe category have 13 posts and 8 posts reserved for
them, respectively. Besides, 12 seats are to be filled by candidates
belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC).

The candidates on selection will be paid as per the pay scale Rs 5,200-20,200 + GP Rs 2,800.
However, the vacancies mentioned above are provisional and may vary as per need of KRCL (Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd).
The candidates who have completed their graduation or equivalent from any recognised college/institute/university can apply for the post. Employees and trainees already working in the KRCL cannot apply for the post.

The candidates will be short listed on the basis of their
performances in the written exam. Thereafter, the candidates will have
to appear for psychological aptitude test to be followed by a personal
interview. A medical fitness test will be conducted, following which the
final selection will be made.
